All about Bakehouse Bread Company

Crave-worthy sweet loaves crafted with passion, precision, and a totally normal amount of obsession.

It started with a recipe & a dream.

A black and white photograph of two people standing in a bakery, surrounded by loaves of bread. Behind them, shelves are filled with more bread. To the right, there is a handwritten recipe for zucchini bread.

(And a kitchen that smelled really good.)

50 years ago, Nancy’s mom, Granny Peg, baked a legendary zucchini bread. When word got out, friends and family started showing up at her door just to see if there were any extra loaves lying around. It was moist, irresistible, and had a magical way of bringing people together.

That recipe — and others like it — sparked Nancy’s love for baking and her dream of sharing that kind of joy with the world.

Flash forward a few years to Nancy and her husband John opening their very first bakery, with a box of recipes in one hand and a dream in the other. She brought the flavor, he brought the game plan.

With their powers combined, they became a superhero duo of sweet breads — baking with plenty of heart and zero shortcuts.

One loaf at a time, they built a full-blown bread empire.

Today, that legendary zucchini bread is still our best-seller — but it’s got some serious competition from flavors Granny Peg never saw coming (but definitely would’ve hoarded in her freezer).

Why our breads are the best thing since sliced… well you know.

Nothing artificial, no weird stuff, and nothing to hide.

Only the good stuff: real eggs, real butter, real flavor.

Freeze now, enjoy anytime. Still insanely good.

It takes a village to raise the perfect loaf.

And our team is the best in the batch.
